Successful seminar completed on Serving Life-Science Information for the Next Generation

On 12 November 2010 a successful biotechnology seminar took place in the Hungarian Patent Office (HPO) on "Serving Life-Science Information for the Next Generation", co-organised by the partners of the SLING project and HPO.

The aim of the SLING project is to improve the access of the European biotechnology industry to sequence information. The project makes available the databases and sequence analysis services of its partners to the interested circles.

During the seminar a new sequence tool developed by the European Patent Office and the European Bioinformatics Institute was presented, as well as the use of databases containing biological sequences published in patents.
