Information on time limits for the submission of delivery excuses, or of requests for restitutio in integrum in proceedings before the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office

In view of the extraordinary situation owing to the COVID pandemic, concerning time limits for the submission of delivery excuses, or of requests for restitutio in integrum in proceedings that are related to intellectual property and pending before the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO), we inform you of the following:

As for delivery during the time period between the date of the entry into force of Government Decree 112/2021 (6 March) on the reintroduction of certain procedural measures during the period of state of danger, i.e. 8 March 2021, and 19 April 2021 (hereinafter ‘tightened defence’), the time period of tightened defence will not count toward the legal time limit for submitting delivery excuses, or requests for restitutio in integrum in the case of failure to comply with a time limit during the time period of tightened defence.
