Claim
At the end of the patent description it defines, in one sentence and according to the nature of the invention (e.g. product, apparatus, process or use etc.), the matter for which protection is sought. The main claim, which contains all the absolutely necessary features of the invention, characterizes the most general solution thereof, while the subclaim, subordinate to the main claim, characterizes the partial solutions belonging to the scope of protection of the mail claim.
