Collective trademark
It is a special type of marks, which can distinguish goods or services of the members of a social organization, public body or association from others' goods or services on the basis of the quality, origin or other characteristics of the goods or services bearing the collective mark. [Act XI of 1997, Article 96(1)] The right to the protection of a collective mark belongs to the social organization, public body or association, while it is the members who are entitled to use the mark.
The requirements relating to the use of collective trademarks must be laid down in regulations.
