The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) Extend the “HIPO-CNIPA Focal Point Mechanism Pilot Project”

To further promote the cooperation in the field of intellectual property between Hungary and China and to provide more sustained and effective IP services for enterprises from both countries, the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) have, after consultations, decided to extend the HIPO-CNIPA Focal Point Mechanism pilot project for another five years, starting from 1 April, 2026, until 31 March, 2031.

Both offices will continue to designate one officer each as intellectual property focal point to provide consulting services on intellectual property issues related to Hungarian enterprises operating in China and Chinese enterprises operating in Hungary.  

During the operation of the project, Hungarian enterprises with relevant inquiries may contact the HIPO intellectual property liaison officer at the following details:
