European Patent Application at the HIPO

The European patent application has to be filed with the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office, if the applicant is a Hungarian citizen or if the applicant's domicile or seat is in Hungary, except if the European patent application enforces the priority of an application which has been filed with the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office at least two months earlier and the President of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office has not ordered the application to be treated as state secret.

The application can be filed in any of the languages prescribed by the Convention, provided that the application includes either in Hungarian language or in any official language of the European Patent Office at the least the following:
