Provisional Protection

The - provisional - European patent protection becomes effective in Hungary after the publication of the official information by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office on the Hungarian translation of claims in its official journal

The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office publishes the official information on filing the Hungarian translation of claims in its official journal, if the applicant requests so, if the applicant has attached the Hungarian translation of the claims to the request and further if the applicant has paid the fee for the translation of the claims and the fee for publication laid down by a special legal regulation.

The request and the Hungarian translation of claims have to be prepared according to the detailed formal requirements laid down by special legal regulations
