Filing the Application
The European patent application may be filed with the European Patent Office at Munich, The Hague, or Berlin, or the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office proceeds as receiving office in case of applications filed within the framwork of the European Patent Convention. In the application, among others, the contracting states of the Convention have to be indicated, where the applicant has requested a patent.
The application has to be filed according to the requirements prescribed by the Convention, in a manner and in the language prescribed by the Convention.
When filing the application an application fee and a searching fee determined by law have to be paid.
